Show , ydcigty' Miss Fern Ashworth of Beaver was a visitor here last week. An afternoon socinl and luncheon nt the home of Mrs. Julia A. Cox was thoroughly enjoyed by a score of tho friends of Mrs. Cox this afternoon. after-noon. A big chicken slipper wns given at the home of Miss Mamie Perkins Wednesday. Wed-nesday. A big crowd was present nnd a fine supper wns served. All present had a jolly good time. A series of family socials have been given this week by relatives of Webster Web-ster Leigh in his honor, ns he Is leaving leav-ing Mondny for n mission to the Eastern East-ern states. EAST WARD M. I. A. PROGRAM Baritone Solo, Kenneth Macfarlanc. Reading, Sndie Buckwnltcr. Vocal Duet, Romoln Dalley and Emma Walker. Last Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Bcngtn Adams entertained 14 or 15 friends nt a Kensington. A social afternoon wns enjoyed, with one of tho delightful luncheons for which Mrs. Adams is so well known. Next Monday, Webster Leigh will leave Cedar to accept a mission to the Enstem states. His mother Mrs. Henry Leigh will accompany him ns far as Salt Lake City. Mr. H. E. Petersen, Mgr. of the Petersen Drug Store, is home again from n 20 day tour of the points of interest in Colorado, visiting Denver, Pueblo, Colorado Springs nnd other cities. . Friday's Chapel was taken by tho Ag. Club who gave a very excellent program which follows: Vocal Solo, Henry Webster. Prayer, Elroy Jones. Violin Solo, Orien Jones. Talk, DouglaS Clark. Piano Solo, Mr. McCarty. Humorous Talk, Rulon Wood. Song, Ag. Club Quartet. All musical numbers were enthusiastically enthusi-astically encored. |
