Show 600 BOOKS ADDED to mvm Circulation From Library During 1920 Amounted To 18003 35 MAGAZINES NOW ON LIBRARY TABLES Many Visitors From Other States Take Notes of Local Library Management and Methods, Says Report of Librarian. The library board having just finished fin-ished the annual report for the state and the Carnegie corporation, wo decided de-cided that some of our citizens mighe possibly be interested in knowing of some of the things thnt our library is doing for the the community. During tho yenr 1920 we have added ad-ded 457 volumes by purchase, 138 volumes have been given by patrons who appreciate tho work wc are doing, 20 books have been added by tho rental ren-tal fees, making a total of 5170 vol umes on our shelves, uur total circulation cir-culation for 1020 was 1800U books. October 17th, the anniversary of the dedication of our library, was remembered re-membered by Mrs. G. Lundgren by a cash gift of $5 with a request that we purchase classics for tho use of our B. A. C. students, she having in mind tho many expenses of the out-of-town boys and girls who attend this insti- f tution, and wishing to offer encouragc-i encouragc-i ment nnd assistance. I II. Ryan, was a subscription for the' Saturday Evening Post, this bringing' our number of mngazines for tho en-i Our Christmas gift from Mrs. E.I suing yenr up to 35. We could not' expect our locnl paper to givo space to ' tho enumeration of those coming for referenco work and information along all lines. Wo have had visitors from ninny ' of the Enstcni and surrounding states, including librarians from New York nnd Philadelphia. Representatives from Oregon, Idaho' and Wyoming i have como supplied with pencil and note book to write of the things that we are doing. We are always ready to accept your discarded magazines. ' After filling our own files for refer- once, wo distribute the teiimiiider into in-to homes of contagion, to sheep herders herd-ers or any out of town people, as they arc not returned to tho library.
