Show UTAH EDUCATORS END MENTION Big Attendance and Lively Interest Mark Meetings of Teachers at Salt Lake. v County Superintendent II. Claude Lewis has returned from the recent session of the Utah Educational Association Asso-ciation in Salt Lako City. K. L. Fcn-ton, Fcn-ton, principal of tho Parowan High School, was also at the convention. Among tenchers in tho Cedar Schools who nttended were Miss Guernsey, Miss Buys, Miss Sharp and Mrs. Nelson. Nel-son. 1 Attendance is in no way obligatory on teachers, but Mr. Lewis says the attendance was exceptionally large, better oven thnn at the N. E. A. contention con-tention in Salt Lake last summer. The main subject before tho convention con-vention wns the tiding over of the present financial shortage. School officials of-ficials of the outlying districts were urged to see thnt their representatives representa-tives in tho now legislature organized early and put through a lnw to carry jout tho intent of the nmendment voted on nt tho last election as Number Two. This would allow the State to furnish l the districs funds amounting to as high as $2C per capita in one school , year. |
