She had a wide circle of friends, btvmvse she always found something to liko in everyone she met. Sho was ail enthusiastic worker, doyig her full flharc at all times and doing it 'promptly. Although a sufferer suf-ferer from a vciy severe heart trouble for tho past year, sho kept on t with her wdrk to within a week of her . death. I Sadie Wilkinson Buckwaltcr wa born is Hebron, Utah, April 10, 1872, , tho daughter of Joseph T. and Elizabeth Eliza-beth E. Wilkison, both deceased. She camo with Ihe family 0 Cedar City in her early youth, where sho .secured nil tho education , available, ond entered en-tered the teaching profession. Sho followed this for several years when sho went to Salt .Lako City . and became be-came a bookkeeper and accountant, in which sho attained. a high degree' of efficiency mid skill. Iu 1907. sho ( was was married to R. JE. Buckwaltcr of Salt Lako City, after which they moved to Rexburg, Idaho. While In Rcxburg Mrs. Buckwaltcr hold important im-portant positions in the church, particularly par-ticularly tho Mutual Improvement Association. Iu 1914 'sho returned to Cedar City wherov'sho taught again, later accopting a postioin n tho Iron Commercial Bank. Sho was elected City treasurer in 1919, being reelected re-elected last City election, which position po-sition she held at tho timo of hex death. She served as president of tho Young Ladies' Easb Ward Mutual for three years, but was oblidged to resign re-sign in 1921 becauso of ill health. ! Sho leaves a son, eight brothers and ! three sisters to mourn her departure Funeral services wore held in the tnbornncle January ,1G, at 2 p. m. with BiahQp Bcngt Nelson conducting. Tho services were opened by tho Choir singing an appropriate hymn, i after which prayer was offered by j Elder Win. R. Palmer. Mrs. Webster Miss Gardner and Mr. West rendered a beautiful trio,and wore followed by the following speakers, all of whom spoke of the excellent worth of the deceased: Elder S. J. Foster, Elder A. G. Motheson and Pros. Henory W. Lunt. Benediction was pronouced by Elder David Bulloch. Tho floral offerings were many and beautiful and completely covered the basket in which the mortal remains of Mrs. Buckwalter wore enclosed. |
