Show NOTED ENGINEER SEES VIEW WITHOUT EQUAL Mr. F. V. Fitzgerald of Boston, a retirod government engineer and former for-mer president of tho American Society Soci-ety of Engineers, wns piloted through the wonders of the Cedar Breaks last Friday by a party of Cedar's ener-, getic "Breaks fans" including Forest, Supervisor Mace, Dr. J. W. Bcrgstrom; and Richard A. Thorley. I Mr. Fitzgerald, who had just come from a visit to Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon and Bryco's Can-, yon, was like most other men who visit the Breaks for the first time, full , of enthusiastic praise for them. In V,r opinion the Breaks is not behind, 'its' l tno otner scenic wonders in $?Xu'ty nnd variety of form and color-ing, color-ing, and has no equal in its line for, extent. The inspiring views of great stretches of desert and range uponj rnnge of mountains also called for his ' admiration. It is his opinion that tho Breaks will soon be mnde a National Park, and he expressed appreciation of tho energy of Cedar City in building build-ing the big hotel to accommodate thc( vast stream of tourists that will flow! to the parks of Utah as soon ns tho roads and accommodations will allow, j The linking of the parks of Utah into ' one scenic attraction is the next movoi necessary in his opinion, in tho (level-1 opment of Southern Utah. |
