Show Last Saturday Mae Dix came near receiving serious injury, and as it was she was painfully hurt. It appears that she was attempting to fix a bolt on the double-trees of the rig and while so doing the horses started. Mrs. Dix's little girl, who was in the rig, screamed and frightened the horses, causing them to make a quick start as if to run. The lady caught the lines and at- " h tempetd to stop them, and in so doing was caught between the 1 carriage and a telephone pole. She was crushed considerably, H but no bones were broken. Mrs. 1 Dix is getting better. 1 |
