small fire monday between 9 and 10 monday morning the roof of the old doll fausett house bouse occupied by A G gutheil and family caught fire from the stovepipe and but for the prompt action of the neighbors the building would probably have burned to the ground as there was almost no pressure in the water mains As it was the damage to the building was slight but about everything in the kitchen was soaked with water carried onto the roof in a garden 1 hose A few members of the fire department part ment and uncle bill goodman took one of the carts to the scene of the fire but the big hose was not needed the house is owned by M P braffet Braffe fc and was not insured
