Mr. and Mrs. Eskridge arrived Monday Mon-day from Seattle to spend the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. David Keith. Mrs. O. J. Salisbury entertained at luncheon Monday afternoon. The Cotillion club of the past will give its first dancing party on Wednesday, Wednes-day, Dec. 31. The members are Mrs. Pardee, Mrs. Sturgess, Mrs. Smith, Miss Bubb, Captain Sturgiss, Captain Har-beson Har-beson and Lieutenant Merrill. The members of the Rifle club held a turkey shoot Sunday at the range, and the fine weather made some good scores possible. Breckon won high gun and captured three turkeys. Engineer Burke, who has returned from an inspection of the Johnny's new mill at Stateline, says the plant will be in condition to handle its full capacity of fifty tons by Jan. 1. Abraham Bedford, a member of the senior law class of the University of Michigan, and well known in Utah, is very ill at his home in Spencer, Ida. $ J. M. Jensen, president of the Incorporated Incor-porated Sheep company of Brigham City, accompanied by his wife, are guests of the White House until after Christmas. Miss Margaret Ryan will entertain during the holidays. Miss Georgia Vadner and Miss Elizabeth Eliz-abeth Skyrme, who are attending school on the Hudson, will spend the Christmas vacation in Massachusetts. Miss Evelyn - Thomas will spend Christmas in Boise City. Mrs. P. J. Quealey is down from Kemmerer, Wyo., and is visiting with friends. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Adams have returned re-turned from Washington, where they have been for the past six weeks. Mrs. Fred Simon entertained the whist club at her home last week. The rooms were prettily decorated and prizes in the contest were won by Mrs. Simon and Mr. Oberndorfer. Mrs. J. E. Bamberger and Mrs. Joseph Jo-seph Siegel left last week for New York to spend the coming month. ' Mrs. E. A. Wedgewood is visiting Mrs. Schwab in Provo. - Mr. Will Ashby left for New York on Wednesday of last week to be absent about a month. Mr. Ashby will have charge of the decorative department of the new Keith-O'Brien establishment, and will take notes while away in tha interests of his department. Mr. W. P. O'Meara entertained at dinner at the . Alta club on Thursday of last week, covers being laid for eight. The table was beautifully done in the Christmas colors and violet, the centerpiece cen-terpiece being of American Beauty roses, flanked with violets, and sprays of holly decorating the chandelier. Miss May Fitzgerald, Bister of Miss Elizabeth Fitzgerald, arrived last Sunday Sun-day from Anaconda and will spend the holidays with her sister at 174 L street. On account of the next two soiree nights being Christmas and New Year's eve, the Christensen Wednesday soirees have been postponed until the first Wednesday of the new year, Jan. 7, the announcement being made at the last soiree, which seemed to be the best attended of any yet, notwithstanding notwith-standing the many other affairs given that night. Miss Anna O'Brien came down from Park City Monday to visit her mother and sisters during the holidays. Misses Mary and Kate Early are at present iu Evanston, Wyo., to attend the funeral of their mother, Mrs. James Early. Mrs. Early was 68 years old, and came west from New York state about thirty yearsago. Mrs. Joseph Dederich and daughter, Miss Gertrude, will leave the last of this week to visit relatives in Ham- mnnil. Tnd. |
