The entire community commu-nity mourns the lofs of a dear friend. His life was ever an open book: in him was no guile, and his open, frank heart was a stranger to oeceit.- Jie was m every sense an honest man, and what better can be said of him: To the bereaved young - wife- and mother the loss is irreparable. 'Only a few month? ago she lost a dear and only brother, a young man whose Christian life was an example for all. Now she is overwhelmed with grief, and without her. strong faith there would be no consolation. The life of her dear one made him worthy of her love, and faith tells her that in heaven she will see him again.' In all her sorrow there remains the knowledge that the parting is not forever. There never was a truer or better husband and father, and in Mr. and Mrs. Good the true idea of Christian marriage was truly verified. The funeral service? took place on Thursday morning from St. Mary's cathedral. A large number of friends attended, and the casket was covered with the most beautiful floral offerings. Rev. Father Morrissey celebrated high mass and delivered the funeral sermon, which was an eloquent and touching tribute to the life and character of the deceased. Besides his immediate family, Mr. Good leaves a father and three brother?, broth-er?, who reside in Denver, and a sister, Mrs. Dr. Hensel, of Eureka. Mrs. Good was formerly Miss Celestino I'usuci diiu nets nveu in MiL ijane iiom childhood. As a girl, wife and mother she has won the love of all who knew her, and now in her great affliction she has the earnest sympathy of all hearts. With the heroism of a truly Catholic wife may she bear her cross! May the Divine Oiw help her, and may the thought of a blessed reunion comfort her in her desolation! Beyond death's dark shadows there is the eternal day where are found no aching hearts, no terrible heartbreakings. but peace and happiness with Christ, the Son of God, in heaven's glorious light. George Good died as he lived, full of resignation to God's will, leaving behind be-hind him for encouragement the example ex-ample of a blamele?s Christian life. May God's beautiful peace rest forever on his soul. |
