Show IN SEE OF BOSTON. Friday was the thirty-eighth anniversary anni-versary of the consecration of Archbishop Arch-bishop John J. Williams to the episcopate, episco-pate, and the occasion was variously signalized by the clergy and people of Boston. The principal observance of the day was in the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, where a solemn high festival festi-val mass was celebrated at 9 o'clock. j and at which the venerable prelate as-j as-j sisted. A full musical mass was sung in selected parts by the regular choir of the cathedral as an accompaniment to the service. At the conclusion the archbishop bestowed his episcopal blessing upon the congregation. The health of the archbishop is exceedingly good. Catholic Transcript. |
