Show The Queen's Daughters. Thirty-six members of the Queen's Daughters met at the home of Mr. J. W. Benson. 1819 Gilpin street, last Saturday Sat-urday afternoon to talk over the Christmas Christ-mas work accomplished recently, and to formulate plans for broadening the scope of the work in 1907. Miss Winifred MacKinnon, the founder foun-der of the society, recommended the appointment ap-pointment of a committee to visit members mem-bers whose interest has lagged, with an idea of infusing renewed enthusiasm in them for the new year. The Queen's Daughters took care of a large number of families on Christmas, and brought comfort and cheer into a great many homes. In the report of the general council sent out from St. Louis, the Denver council makes an exceptionally good shov ing for the work accomplished in the first year of its existence. Miss Cora McCabe. the present president, is no less enthusiastic than her two predecessors. |
