Show SOCIAL AND PERSONAL I Miss Kate Ryan, the energetic popular popu-lar young agent for the Intermountain Catholic, has returned from a successful suc-cessful trip to Montana and Idaho in the interests t the paper. Miss Ryan received a kindly welcome wherever she visited, and reports that all the C.itholies she met are heartily proud of the excellent Intermountain Catholic. Catho-lic. Mrs. John Hamilton of Pocatello, whom every one knows and loves, was particularly hospitable to Miss Ryan during her visit there, and her kindness kind-ness is deeply appreciated by Miss Ryan and the entire staff, from the j managing editor to the bright little girl in the office. Doolittlc of the Rock Island is in PortlaiW on a business trip. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bruneau have returned from New York. Mrs. Clarence Chanell and children came to Sail Lake Monday from Twin Falls to attend the funeral of the late James Mellon. Robeft Harley returned last week from Goidfic'd. Nev. M. J. Gray of St. Anthony, a prominent promi-nent irrigation worker, is at the Ken-yon Ken-yon hotel. C. E. Arney of Boise, Ida., a well known newspaper man and former business manager of the Scimitar of that place, is at the Cullen for a few- days on business. Mrs. C. C. Slade is recovering from her recent accident, and is now able to see her friends. The Misses Mabelle and Julia Stephens Ste-phens have issued invitations for a masquerade at their home on Thirteenth Thir-teenth East street, Oct. 30. John Fitzgerald, son of Assistant Fire Chief Fitzgerald, who was injured a few nights ago by being thrown from a horse, is much improved. J. A.
