Keane has returned from the east, where he assisted at the ordination of Bishop Lenihan. : . The ladies of the Altar and Rosary society met socially at the home of Mrs. J. F. Fink, the retiring president. Thursdiy evening. . As a token of their esteem towards her for her untiring services she was presented with a silver sil-ver service by -the society. A musical programme was enjoyed, after which refreshments were served by the hostess, host-ess, assisted by her daughter. - Mrs. M. Cronin and daughter Annie, of Rawlins, stopped off in Cheyenne Wednesday while on their way to Denver, Den-ver, where Miss Annie will enter the Commercial college. They were joined here by Miss Mayme Cronin., who accompanied ac-companied them to Denver. . Mrs. J.. H. Fullerton gave an informal infor-mal reception to a number of her f friends Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5 o'clock at the Inter-Ocean hotel. Refreshments Re-freshments were' served and music furnished fur-nished by the Fort Russell orchestra. The ' fotball team of the Cheyenne High school will play a match game-with game-with the Laramie university on the hitter's gridiron Saturday, Oct. '8. A large number of rooters will attend from Cheyenne. f Mrs. M. -Roseboom and sister, Miss Anna Hansen, left for Omaha to spend seVeral weeks. . - .
