Show BUTTE, MONT. I i Mrs. Effie Byrne, the wofe of J. T. Byrne, proprietor of the Holland rinks, died 'Monday afternoon after a few-days' few-days' illness at the family residence, 944 South Wyoming street. Monday a son was born her,. Mrs. Byrne was 32 years of age, and had .lived in Butte for twenty-two years. She was a native na-tive of Waterloo, la., and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Onslow Peters Pe-ters of Butte. During her residence here she had endeared herself to a large circle of friends, to whom she was known as a beautiful woman, a devoted wife and an affectionate and self-sacrificing mother. She took an active part in church work, being affiliated af-filiated with St. Joseph's church in South Butte. Four children survive the mother. These are Joseph, aged 9: Paul, aged 5: Winifred, aged 3. and the baby which came into the world only about twenty-four hours before the Tleath of its mother. Berides her husband hus-band and children she leaves to mourn her uijtimely demise a fprher and mother, three brothers and two sisters. sis-ters. These are Mr. and Mrs. Onslow Peters, Alonzo, Arthur and John Peters Pe-ters of Butte, Mrs. John McMurray, whose husband was a well-known newspaper man of Montana, and Miss Annie Peters. Mrs. Byrne was married mar-ried to J. T. Byrne in Butte nearly fourteen years ago, and the couple resided re-sided here almost continuously ever since. The officers of Silver Bow county niet in the office of the county commissioners com-missioners on Jan. 29 and adopted the following preamble and resolutions on the death of Daniel J. Hennessy: "Whereas, It has pleased the Supreme Su-preme Ruler of the Universe to call from our midst our highly-esteemed fellow townsman, Daniel J. Hennessey, Hennes-sey, whose integrity, benign influence, benefactions and domestic virtues command the respect, love and admiration admir-ation of all; and, "Whereas,' We. as representatives of the people of Silver Bow county, desire de-sire to record our appreciation of his many acts of beneficence, philanthropy and his unwavering influence for the betterment of his fellow man; and, "Whereas. Being mindful of his valuable val-uable services as state senator, his devotion de-votion to the welfare and prosperity of the commonwealth of Montana, his zeal and activity in his work as a progressive pro-gressive citizen, his generosity and his readiness to assist the needy and distressed; dis-tressed; and, "Whereas, Because of the intimate relations long held by our deceased friend with the officials of Silver Bow-county; Bow-county; therefore, be it "Resolved, That, as a token of respect re-spect we discontinue all business possible pos-sible on the day of his funeral; that we order the flag over the court house placed at half-mast, and that the county officials and their deputies attend at-tend in a body the last sad rites; and, be it further "Resolved, That we, the officials of Silver Bow county, express to the afflicted af-flicted relatives of the deceased our deep sympathy in this their hour of great affliction; and. be it further "Resolved, That these resolutions be entered upon the record of the proceedings pro-ceedings of the board of county commissioners com-missioners and that a copy of the same be transmitted to the family of the deceased." de-ceased."
