Show I ' PARK CITY. j i - i Mr. and Mrs. Matt Connelly returned Tuesday morning from a pleasant visit in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. McGill were passengers pas-sengers from Salt Lake Tuesday morning. morn-ing. Ed Sweeney of Lead City, Dakota, spent Sunday last In this city with hi3 brother, Jim. It was his first visit here in ten years. The gentleman was on his way to the coast, where he will visit for a month. Mrs. Margaret McLaughlin went to Salt La.ke Sunday, accompanied by her son. Ed, who goes to All Hallows col- -lege. The lady returned home Tuesday Tues-day morning. The members of the Park City Mili- ! tary band assembled last Monday even- ing for the regular annual election of officers and the transaction of other , business. The following officers were ' elected to serve for the ensuing year: W. H. Mullin, leader and manager; John Connor, secretary; William Ste-j vens.' treasurer; Wid Bircumshaw, ser- geant. The band at present shows a membership of nineteen, all difficulties have been adjusted and the prospects fetr the organization are promising. Under Mr. Miller the band has always progressed, and will continue to do so. Regular practices will be held in the city hall on Monday and Thursday evenings of each week. . J. J. Kelly, a well known young man of this city, died Monday morning at the residence of Miles Shanley, where he had been living. Consumption was the cause of demise. Deceased was 31 years of age, and had been in this' city about a month previous to his death. He lived here a number of years, however, how-ever, before his last visit. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the Catholic church. Under the auspices of the Miners' union, of which Mr. Kelly was a member,; Rev. Father Galllgan officiated at the services. His only llving relative is a sister, whose home is in New Haven, Conn. Deceased had a large circle of friends in this city who deeply regret his loss. Park City Record. |
