Show SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD. You cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore be not anxious for your life, what you shall eat or drink, nor for your body, what you shall put on. Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you. Though every sprig of grass, every flower, every leaf of every tree, every bird of the air, in fc-hort, through every one of. the myriad forms of life in the natural, visible creation, that all these things necessary for our life here will be added unto us. Hunger is not a bad thing. The person who has never been hungry does not know the satisfaction there is in eating. Only those who know whatr real hunger is can appreciate the real value of food. The aovertv-stricken is not that they get hungry, but that they have no feod with which to satisfy sat-isfy their hunger. It is deplorable when one has nothing to eat, but it is a good thing to feel downright hungry when there is abundance of good food at hand to supply the need. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after the word of God. The blessedness of hungering- after the true faith lies m the gift of grace, and this is provided for all bv Jesus Christ through the church. To every hungry and thirsfy soul the church calls: "Come to the living waters." - Still more: "Christ is the bread which comes from heaven.' "Jeus in the Most Blessed Eucharist Is the living bread." This is a statement state-ment of an actual fact. Except you eat the flee'h of. the Son of God and drink 1 His blood, you shall have no life in you. |
