A very sorrowful death occurred on Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock, when Raymond Krause died at the home of his parents after a four days' illness from scarlet fever. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon. Besides his parents he leaves two sisters to mourn his death. The Knights of Columbus have issued is-sued invitations for a valentine's dance to be given Valentine's eve in the Congress dancing academy. It is expected that over 100 couples will attend, and it will be one of the affairs af-fairs of the season. It is rumored that the new High school building which is to be erected soon will be built on the First National Na-tional bank lot on upper Twenty-fth street. There are now over 500 pupils attending school, and the present building is inadequate to accommodate accommo-date them. Miss Nellie Powell will entertain with a valentine and heart party on Valentine's evening at her home on Madison avenue, Mr. Halver Coulter, the son of Dr. Coulter, who has been at West Point for the last four years, will graduate the latter part of the week, after which he will return home for a couple cou-ple of months before Ire is ordered to San Francisco. The large crowd of music lovers who went from Ogden to Salt Lake on last Friday to hear Paderewski were loud in their praise of the great pianist. The members of the Alumnae association asso-ciation of the Ogden High school, who made such a hit in the presentation presenta-tion of the play "Priscilla," are to be congratulated upon the success of their venture in Salt Lake on last Saturday.
