Show I PARK CITY. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Melin returned Tuesday morning from a brief visit with relatives in Salt Lake. A very pleasant afternoon was given by Mrs. Vic Youngberg Wednesday last in honor of the Sewing club and her birthday. The home was prettily decorated and a guessing contest was one of the diversities, at which Mrs. R. J. McCleery, Mrs. J. F. Walsh and Mrs. O. C. Lockhart were the prize winners. An elaborate course dinner was served and a splendid time enjoyed. en-joyed. The following, concerning the death of Raymond Gerrity, is taken from a Scranton, Pa., paper. Mr. and Mrs. Gerrity and family were formerly Park City people. The item ' reads: "This morning there is a newly made grave in the Cathedral cemetery which contains con-tains the body of one who was dearly beloved and one whose death ha-? caused great sorrow. Death came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ger-ritv Ger-ritv of North Scranton. Sundav last. Jan. 19. and took from them their youngest son, Raymond, a bright and manly little fellow of 12 years, who had been ill but two weeks of pneumonia. Raymond was one of the brightest and most popular students of the Holy Rosary school in North End. and a little lit-tle fellow who had many friends in that end of the town. Raymond is survived sur-vived by his parents and the following named brothers and sisters: Misses Mary, Lourdes. Rita. Dominick and Martin, jr. The funeral of the bright little fellow took place Wednesday morning, with a requiem mass at Holy Rosary church, with interment in the Cathedral cemetery N The following pathetic little mention appeared later: "Rex i.? dead died of grief, so it is said. Rex was a spaniel and the companion of Raymond Gerrity, Ger-rity, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Gerrity of Wayne avenue. Raymond was stricken with iilness several weeks ago. Rex never left the room of the sufferer until death, a week ago, ended the life of the little boy. Then Rex refused to eat, and cried piteously. The boy was buried Tuesday. Wednesday Rex was found dead in the corner of the room, where the body of the dead boy had lain." |
