Pat Lavelle has taken charge of the pumping station at Mud Springs for the Gold Bar. Jack Doyle was taken to the Miners' hospital this week suffering from an attack at-tack of rheumatism. J. F. Phelan of the Bullfrog Dressed Meat company returned a few days ago from Utah. J. J. McQuaid, the real estate man, has rented the well known Southern hotel ho-tel from William P. McCauley, the proprietor, pro-prietor, and will in the future conduct the business. Mr. McQuaid took charge Tuesday. William McRae of Butte, Mont., a mining engineer in the employ of the Boston & Montana, was in Rhyolite this week looking over the camp and paying a visit to his old friend, William Wil-liam P. McCauley. At the last Saturday evening meeting of the Miner's union of this city, steps were taken for the. ' relief of Mrs. O'Toole,' recently widowed through the tragic death of her husband. Jack Doyle. W. E. Bowen and J. B. Rlih- ards were appointed to raise funds, in such manner as the committee saw fit. In the name of the union, for Mrs. O'Toole and her five children. |
