Cosgriff is here from Cheyenne visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. Edward Fife for a short time. Mrs, Katherine Belcher has returned from California. Mrs. O. K. Lewis was hostess on Wednesday, about twenty guests being be-ing entertained at bridge at her home. Pink and white carnations were the decorations and prizes went to Mrs. A. J. Davis. Mrs. J. B. Risque, Mrs. Henry La Motte and Mrs! G. T. Brice. Miss Anna McCornick entertained Wednesday afternoon in honor of Mrs. William Bayley. -'. Mrs. William McCaskell entertained at an elaborate luncheon Wednesday at the Alta club, the table being laid in the gold room, and decorated in pink and "green, with a centerpiece of pink carnation, flanked with vases of pink stocks, while all about the board were sprays of ferns. Covers were laid for twenty-two guests, including Mrs. Samuel Newhouse, Mrs. Thomas Kearns. Mrs. Frank Knox, Mrs. Mont Ferry, Mrs. W. G. Sharp, Mrs. F. S. Fabian. Mrs. E. S. Ferry, Mrs. W. V. William Sharkey of Belle Plaine, Minn., whois on a tour of the western states investigating the agricultural conditions of the different points en , route, fcfl for Los Angeles last week, after spending a pleasant ten days' visit in this- city. Mr. Sharkey said that the many advantages offered in Utah in the line of agriculture appealed ap-pealed to him more than any place he had yet visited. Mrs. C. E. Rourke and grand-daughter. Cosgriff and their family left Tuesday evening for Los Angeles and Coronado. Miss Linda B. Jessup and Miss Marguerite Mar-guerite M. Jessup have returned from a month's visit at Pasadena with her mother, Mrs. C. B. Jessup, and sister Emily, a professor in the Polytechnic Institute there. rrank Knox and family have gone to southern California for a couple of weeks. John T. Buckle announces the engagement en-gagement of his daughter Lulu to A. P. Meilstrup. the marriage to take place February 12. ' Mrs. Luke Cosgrave, who has been seriously ill, is recovering. Edward Fife and her brother, T. A. Cosgriff, of Cheyenne, have gone to Los Angeles for a stay of a few weeks.
