Dan Murphy has completed a neat cottage in the Nob Hill addition, adjoining ad-joining McConnick's, and controlled by the same people. Dr. and Mrs.'Grigsby entertained at dinner last week. The guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lynch. Mr. and Mrs". Thomas G. Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas G. Gwynne, Mr. Cadogan and Dr. Bowen. Mr. and Mr3. P. A. Busch at a charming charm-ing 5 o'clock dinner had as guests: Messrs. Armstrong, Ilamman, Eger, Johnson and Ed Busch. The Thanksgiving committee. J. O. Jones and John Kelly, wishes to thank the citizens of Rhyolite for their kind remembrance of the patients and nurses in the hospitals. The sum of $42.70 was received, with which to buy such luxuries lux-uries as the nurses and doctors saw fit. Fourteen bottles of fine wine, a box of cigars, a fine live turkey, oysters, celery cele-ry and berries were received. That a Catholic church will be built in Rhyolite is now a foregone conclusion. conclu-sion. Father Ryan, who is here from Salt Lake, and who celebrated mass on Sunday last in Miners' Union hall, is making splendid progress n raising a church fund. The reverend gentleman brought plans and specifications with him, the same having the endorsement endorse-ment of Bishop Scanlan, and it is thought that the church, according to these designs, will cost in the neighborhood neigh-borhood of $5,000. One-half of this amount has already been -subscribed. Father Ryan comes with positive instructions in-structions from the bishop to build the church without going in debt. The site' for the church is on Corcoran, neai Gold Center. It is 'hoped to have the first services in the new Rhyolite church on Christmas day. Father Ryan has made a splendid impression her.
