Mrs. Palmer made many friends who are glad to welcome her return. Miss May Gillis is quite ill of pneumonia. pneu-monia. Among the very enjoyable prc-Lenten festivities was the euchre party given on Washington's birthday by Mrs. Henry C. Bunte at her spacious home, 312 West First avenue. Nearly fifty guests partook of Mrs. Bunte's hospitality. hospi-tality. Eugenio Garcia of Trinidad. Colo., was in Denver for a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kirchhof arrived home early in the week. Mr. Kirchhof spent the holidays at his old home in Germany, and Mrs. Kirchhof went to New York a few weeks ago to meet him upon his return to this countrv. 5,-c :;; Miss Ellen Solis entertained a few friends at luncheon on Thursday at her home, 1601. Downing avenue. The affair af-fair was complimentary to Miss May Horan of Tierra Amarilla, N. M.. who is the house guest of Miss Solis. Those who enjoyed the occasion were Misses May Horan, Nora Phillips, June Nugent. Nu-gent. Irene Hartford. Adelaide Thams, Bessie Phillips, Lillian Shiel and May White. Mrs. Harry Merryw'eather entertained enter-tained at a 5i)0 party Tuesday evening before the Lenten season was ushered in. Mrs. Edward Ryan and little son are visiting Mr. Ryan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. White. Mrs. Ryan was formerly Miss Katharine White, a Denver society favorite. Tiie pupils of St. Mary's academy amused themselves on Shrove Tuesday by a fancy dress party. The recreation Miss Florence Andrew has returned from Golden, where she was a member of a jolly house party. Mrs. C. L. Kirk and sister. Miss Birdie Bir-die O'Brien, are visiting in Colorado Springs. Mrs. Harry Geier is in Chicago. |
