Show I WELL LOVED WOMAN DIES i I Mrs. Julia McFaddcn died last Friday at her home, 22 State street. She was 65 years of age on the 30th day of last January, and had lived long in the west. She was a pioneer on the Corn-stock Corn-stock in Virginia City -and an early resident of Piocho. Mrs. McFadden was prominent during the days when Mackay, Fair, Flood and O'Brien were the kings of the Comstock. The Hearst family is related to Mrs. McFadden. After she came to Salt Lake, Mrs. McFadden, through her business acumen, acu-men, acquired valuable property interests, inter-ests, and, being a business woman, she arranged the disposition of these holdings hold-ings when she realized that the time was at hand when she must answer the call that all must answer. Mrs. McFadden, who was twice married, mar-ried, leaves these children: Mrs. Georgia Geor-gia Fulks, J. A.. F. A. and E. W. Clark, Frederick and Clarence McFadden. Mr. McFadden died in Fioche about sixteen years ago. E. W. Clark, a son, has just returned from the Denver convention, where he was one of the leading members of the Nevada delegation. Mr. Clark is also county treasurer of Lincoln county, Nevada. Ne-vada. Clark is a prominent business man of Pioche and a member of the Nevada legislature. legisla-ture. Clarence McFadden is a prominent prom-inent attorney of Ely, and Frederick McFadden is a prominent mining man. The funeral took place on Monday from St. Mary's pro-cathedral chapel. Solemn requiem high mass was sung. The celebrant was the Rev. Father M. F. McGuire of St. John's, N. F.. and the eloquent funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Andrew Ryan, the spiritual adviser ad-viser of the deceased. Rt. Rev. Bishop Scanlan conducted the services over the remains. The music was the Gregorian Gre-gorian chant, and the singers were the Misses Florence O'Neill, May O'Neill, Margaret Harley, Alice Farrell and Mildred Mil-dred Cuddy, and A. J. DuQuesne and T. C. Crawford. The music was under the direction of Miss Nora Gleason, the organist of St. Mary's. The sympathy of hundreds of friends is extended to the bereaved ones who mourn the loss of a dear, tender mother. moth-er.
