AVith tender, loving devotion, the . inmates of Sacred Heart celebrated the beautiful feast of the annunciation. Though outdoors the gloom of win-I win-I ter still lingered, and lowering clouds overhung the dreary March scene. I within, all was bright and radiant. The lovely chapel gleamed with the light of j many tapers and glowed with the beauty of fragrant .blossoms, meet of-' of-' feringa of love to h?r whose beauty en- J raptured the angel world. Apart from j the deep significance which always at-, at-, taches to this beautiful festival, for Sacred Heart household there is an-j an-j oth?r significance arising from the ten-( ten-( der associations which cluster around j the feast as the name day of one j whose memory is ever held dear. No l wonder that the strains of the glorious J "Magnificat" awakened memories of 'the well beloved Mother Annunciata, j whose soulful voice so often rang out I inspiringly in . that grandest of all Te Dfums of Redemption. During the holy sacrifice offered for! j Mother Annunciata fervent "Aves'.' I arose to heaven's queen for the de-votffd de-votffd client who once rejoiced in bearing bear-ing a lily so dear to the heart of that mother queen. There was another, too, who shared in many of a tenderly whispered "Ave."'. Mrs. Mary Furlong Hennessy of Butte. Mont., whose grateful devotion devo-tion to Mother Annunciata prompted a generous gift the beautiful electric arch which now illumines the sanctuary sanctu-ary of Sacred Heart Chapel. |
