Show CACHE VALLEY CIVIC MUSIC DRIVE ENDS SAT. Music and lecture lovers of Preston Pres-ton and vicinity ihave an unusually fine opportunity to hear the worm's greatest artistic and intellectual talent this season! This was learned Monday evening eve-ning by Preston attendants at the enthusiastic 'Campaign opening banquet of the Cache Valley Civic Music association, conducted by Dr. N. A. Pederson, president. Fourteen outstanding lectures, musical numbers and light enter tainment will be available to Cache "Valleyans this season. Those from Preston who attended at-tended the banquet and from whom interested persons in Preston and vicinity may obtain ob-tain membership tickets, are: Mrs. R. R. Rowell, 140 North Firs West, phone 239; Mr. and Mrs. Horace Baugh, 3augh Plumbing, 83 North State, phone 118, or 271 East Second North, 316; Mrs. J. N. Stephens, Ste-phens, 156 East Second South 268-J; Newell Hart, Hart Mu-slo Mu-slo Shop, 138-R, or 494 North State, phone 500. Membership for this year closes Saturday night October 18. No membership or single admissions will be sold after that time. These committeemen have reported re-ported increasing interest among lecture and music enthusiasts in the distinctive seasonal program, which combines eleven features from, the college lyceum series and three from Civic Music. - it-is likely like-ly the St. Louis Symphony will appear as one of . the three, i,e other two will be a pianist and -a vocalist. As old members from here have learned, committeemen pointed out, this is virtually the only possibility possibili-ty for local people to gain a firsthand first-hand enjoyment of living music and of hearing today's leading and most interesting lectures. n |
