L Graff Health Officer During the past put two weeks a number of cases of Scarlet Fever have In Cedar City On Investigation it has been found that some of these cases have not been officially reported as required by State rules and regulations for forthe forthe forthe the control of communicable dis dis- eases In order to prevent the spread of or Scarlet Fever to epidemic proportions proportions proportions pro pro- portions it is necessary to know when and where these cases are so that proper quarantine and isolation rules may be carried out In this connection I urge everyone to report all aU known cases or suspected cases of Scarlet Fever In order that an en Investigation may maybe maybe maybe be made and the necessary steps taken for the control of the dis dis- ease The early symptoms of Scarlet Fever consist of sore throat fever vomiting and a scarlet rash which appears first on the neck and chest and then spreads over the rest of the body except the face The rash in some cases may bevery bevery be bevery very faint and persist only for a afew afew afew few hours to several days These cases should be reported at the earliest possible moment to the local health officer Dr Graff advises that an investigation will willbe willbe willbe be made of every case reported without any expense to th the family concerned Scarlet fever i Is b a serious disease and nd everyone should make every effort to escape it Anyone should feel guilty if he Is responsible for transmitting It since nce this disease may cause life Ufe long complications and nd after effects |
