H Thorley Wednesday afternoon with Mrs Mra Abner Perry I president of the club lub In charge I I I Mrs Arthur Jones gave a most InI InI interesting In- In I discussion on how to plan I the home garden Tills This was followed follow follow- ed d by a trip to many of the mot most beautiful flower gardens in various various various var var- ious parts of the town The Garden Club has started avery n a very active summer program deI devoting devoting de de- de- de voting their the attention not only to I their own gardens to improving and beautifying the City cemetery Club members planted SIberian Si Siberian Siberian SI- SI berian Elm trees In the cemetery last week and will continue to care for these until satisfactory growth Is assured Last summer many manyI I I flower plants were set out In the cemetery and care Is being given i i to keep these growing this i Only May the Club will hold a cleanup day at the cemetery and will clear the weeds from drivel drive drive- l i ways and walks etc I The club Is la also planning to toI I secure some Cedar trees to plant In front of the cemetery replacing those of the row planted several years ago that have died out The tres win will be secured under tha su- su of Forest Ranger Frank Seaman Braman |
