Show MISS VIRGINIA SANT MARRIED SATURDAY One of the interesting social happenings hap-penings of the holiday season is j the marriage of Miss Virginia i Sant, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ! Thomas C. Sant of Clifton, to W. Grant Lee, on of Mr. and Mrs. David Da-vid Lee of Rig-by, Idaho. The young couple were married at the home of the bride's parents at an evening ceremony performed by Bishop L. E. McDercnott Saturday, Satur-day, December 27. A Christmas setting with poinsettas and lovely-cut lovely-cut flowers formed the colorful background for the wedding which was followed immediately by a wedding supper for the immediate family and Bishop and Mrs. Mc-Dermott. Mc-Dermott. Miss Sant is a graduate of the US AC where she was affiliated with the Theta Upsilon sorority and numerous school clubs. A popular pop-ular and talented student of music, Miss Sant was given the lead in the college opera, 'Student Prince, during her senior year at the college. col-lege. She also sang the leading role in the "Elijah" oratorio given the same year. During the past two years she has been music instructor in-structor at the Preston Junior high school. Mr. Lee is a graduate of the USAC where he belonged to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He received his masters degree last year at the University of Illinois Illi-nois in Urbana, Illinois, where he has continued his work on a doctorate doc-torate degree. Mrs. Sant honored her daughter December 21 at a trousseau tea given at the family home in Cidf-ton Cidf-ton and assistd her daughter in receiving the guests. A lace covered table held a lovely tiered wedding cake topped with miniature figures of the bride and groom; a centerpiece of red roses, white chrysanthemums and green holly; and green tapers at either end. Assisting in the arrangements at the tea were Mrs. Sarah Sant of Soda SDi'ings: Mrs. Geneva Taytor, Mrs. Mabel Mathes of Boise, Mrs. Belli Rice of Logan, Miss Phyllu Boynton of Logan and Miss Jean Sant. Tiny Miss Shirley Jean Taylor Tay-lor supervised the guest book. Approximately Ap-proximately one hundred friends between the hours ofl 3 and 7. |
