Show SAFETY SAM SAYS: The problem of priority at intersections in-tersections is often rather puzzling. puzzl-ing. A good rule to follow which incidentally is the law in most states, is to give the motorist on your right the right-of-way, when two cars approach at right angles, at the same time. If the other motorist is on your left you can go first But be sure he under- stands your intention; the settlement settle-ment of the right-of-way problem is never worth a crash. Crashes of automobiles colliding at blind intersections echo in my ears, they are so common. I have slowed down at intersections innumerable in-numerable times, and have avoided avoid-ed crashes by so doing. (Cooperating with State Road I Commission Utah Highway Pa- trol R. Whitney Groo, Superintendent Superin-tendent for "Safety on our Highways".) |
