Show Juniors Banquet Seniors, Faculty A large group of senior class members, mem-bers, the faculty and a few invited friends, enjoyed a splendid time Friday Fri-day evening of last when the junior class members acted as hosts and hostesses at a splendid banquet at the Gunnison Valley high school auditorium. auditor-ium. The banquet was served at two long tables, cleverly decorated with spring flowers, and seated at the tables were over sixty-six, all eager for the delicacies that had been prepared pre-pared by members of the domestic science class of the high school, and under the supervision of Miss Evelyn Brown, instructor of the class. When the group had been seated at the banquet tables, Miss Beulah Metcalf, president of the jun;or class, turned the time over to Milton Perkins, Per-kins, who took the place as toast-master. toast-master. During the dinner hour Misses Mis-ses Merle Park and Nellie Bauer gave two selections, accompanying theirselves with ukuleles, and Kimbal Larsen entertained the feasters with songs,' . accompanied by his ukulele. Toastmaster Perkins called for talks from many of the group, and all responded. The banquet, attendants stated, proved to be one of the real enjoyable enjoy-able features with the closing of the 1929-'30 school year at the high school. |
