Show j SNOW COLLEGE NEWS Officials Visit. State Architect R. B. Brown and College Architect D. C. Young, Jr., were at Snow college Monday to inspect in-spect the construction work that has ! taken place this summer. All work specified under the contracts was ap-j ap-j proved. This included lighting, plumb- ing and flooring. The architects will return to this city . sometime during j the next two weeks to approve of other work that will then be finished. 1 Specimens Added. H. R. Christensen of the Snow college col-lege faculty, reports that he has col-, col-, lected a number of valuable specimens i in igneous rock formation and of fossils for the college laboratory. The collection was made during his recent re-cent expedition into northern Arizona I as a member of the Rainbow Memor-, Memor-, ial expedition. Mr. Christensen was ' one of four geologists selected to ; make the trip which was conducted I under the direction of Dr. F. J. Hinds of the University of California. The j purpose of the trip was to make a descriptive study . of Skeleton Valley, I Elack Mesa, and Kayota Valley in I northern Arizona. A written report ; of the studies will be made soon. In addition to the group of geologists, : there were nineteen archeologists on j the expedition, and their purpose was : to study the culture of the Indians ' who lived about 600 A. D. They were under the direction of Dr. F. E. Morris Mor-ris from the University of California. |
