Show LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Mrs! Leonard Huchanan was hostess to twelve guests 'at a bridge-luncheon party at her home Wednesday evening eve-ning of last week. After a lively ses-, Hum at bridge, at which Mrs. Theron Ginger won first prize and Miss Lois Overft-lt second, Mrs. Buchanan served serv-ed dainty refreshments. Mayor W. G. Frischknecht and Jesse W. Cox of Manti, were here Monday conferring with members of the local democratic party. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Clinger, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Huchanan, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Sorenson and Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Buchanan formed a merry party enjoying an outing over the week-end at Fishlake. Mr. and Mrs. Blain Larson announce an-nounce the arrival of a fine baby boy, bom to Mrs. Larson at the Salina hospital Monday evening. The baby, tipping the scales at eight pounds at birth, and his mother, are doing splendidly. Editha Rosenlund spent the weekend week-end visiting with friends in Salt Lake City. ... Misses Beulah Me'calf, Irene All-mendinger All-mendinger and Reva Beck left Tuesday Tues-day morning for Fishlake, to remain until Sunday. There will be no fishing and the grub box not overstocked a "reducing party," one of the maidens mai-dens declared. Ross Palmer, Mrs. Palmer, and Miss Phyllis Whitbcck of Milford, spent Sunday and Monday here and at Mayfield visiting with relatives and friends. Miss Phyllis Hermansen, who was a guest of Miss Phylln Whitbeck at the latter's home at Milford for several sev-eral days, returned to her home in Gunnison Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Swain and children motored to Salt Lake Saturday Sat-urday and were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Del Hofheins until Sunday afternoon. Mrs. C. E. Andersen returned Monday Mon-day evening after spending several days with relatives at Ephraim. Mrs. A. H. Kearns is at San Francisco, Fran-cisco, and is with her daughter, Mrs. C. P. Kleebauer, who became the mo-1 ther of a fine baby girl Thursday of j last week. Mrs. Kearns left for the Bay City the middle of July. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nielson of Richfield, who were closing a week's vacation, were here for a few days last week-end, and were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Gribble. |
