Show 'Splendid Showing In Bank Reports Three hundred and ninety -five j shares out of the total of D00, were represented at the annual stockholders' stockhold-ers' meeting of the Gunnison Valley bank, held here Tuesday morning. When the reports of the officers had been read and accepted, tne financial status of the bank was shown to have exceeded by a good margin over that of 1931, much to the gratification of the stockholders. The 1932 business, in the report submitted by Ira Over-felt, Over-felt, secretary and cashier, showed a gain, notwithstanding the depression, and this fact is highly commendable. Following the reports, the board of directors that piloted the banking company through the long depression period was reelected and is as follows: fol-lows: Win. Metcalf, Ira Overfelt, James Bown, Dr. J. A. Hagan, J. S. Peterson, J. N. Christiansen and 0. L. Malmgren. The board will meet next Monday, at which time a reorganization reorganiza-tion will be perfected and year officers offi-cers appointed. Tuesday afternoon, the annual meeting of the Gunnison City National Nation-al bank was held, at which C. E. Andersen, An-dersen, liquidating agent, presided. Mr. Andersen gave his annual report to the stockholders, which was accepted, ac-cepted, and in the election of officers he was again retained as liquidating agent. The present directorate, comprising com-prising nine members, was again chosen for the coming year. The City National was organized in 1920, and in 1923 a consolidation with the Gunnison Gun-nison Valley bank was effected. |
