Show Raymond Ludvigsonl Victim of Influenza; i Raymond Ludvigson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Ludvigson, and an invalid for the past eight years, died at the: family residence in this city Thurs-' day morning of last week. Raymond was stricken with influenza, which: later developed into pneumonia, and : 'due to his weakened condition, he was! .unable to combat the dread disease . and he answered the call to the Great j ; Unknown. Raymond is suiwived by j his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Ludvigson, Lud-vigson, two sisters, Mrs. Cora Willi-' ams of Salina and Miss Berniece Lud- j ,vigson of Gunnison, and four broth-j !ers, Bladen, Fred, Gerald and Maxj ; Ludvigson, all of Gunnison. 1 Raymond Ludvigson was a native of Gunnison, and was born October 10, 1911. When but 7 years of age, he sustained sus-tained an injury which crippled him. For some time he was able to get about, but for the past eight years ihe had been unable to walk, owing to ;h:s infirmities. Undaunted by his j misfortune, Raymond made the best of life and he displayed this by his 'cheerful disposition. Unable to play iwith the children and attend school, I Raymond devoted his time to his home and with the use of his nimble fingers, became adept in doing fancy work and plain sewing. Funeral services were held from the high school auditorium last Saturday afternoon, with Chas. E. Embley, bishop of the Hamilton ward, in charge. Brigham Jensen, Bishop Embley, Em-bley, of Centerfield, and H. C. Olsen, were the speakers. An appropriate song service by the choir and solos by Mrs. Eva Jensen and E. L. Swal-berg, Swal-berg, were given during the services for Raymond. Following services at the high school, the remains were taken to the Gunnison City cemetery for interment. |
