Show County Fair Will Be Huge Attraction Sanpete county's annual fair, which will be held at Manti, September 10, 11 and 12, promises to be unusually attractive this season and fair officials offi-cials are going ahead in preparation of a big program, according to advices ad-vices received from Glen A. Jensen, secretary of the association. Sevier county, it has been officially announced, an-nounced, will not hold the usual fair, but will substitute a racing meet instead, in-stead, and in all likelihood the attendance at-tendance in Manti during the 3-day event, will draw an unusually large crowd. Nothing is being overlooked by the citizens actively engaged in outlining outlin-ing exhibits and sports. Farm exhibits, ex-hibits, horse-pulling contests, boxing contests, baseball and other amusements amuse-ments will be the entertaining features. fea-tures. Sanpete county is famed for its splendid draft horses, and keen rivalry rival-ry throughout the county is much in evidence as to the pulling ability of the teams by the respective owners. Already many have notified Secretary Jensen that they are grooming their teams for the contests in the respective respec-tive classes. It is announced that the winners at the county fair will compete com-pete in the pulling matches at the state fair. ' Two new features this year are being added. A mounted tug-of-war between the Mount Pleasant Guard Unit of the 222nd F. A., and the ! Manti Guard Unit of the 145th F. A.I A tug-of-war between clubs of North I and South Sanpete is also planned.
