Show Bull Dogs Knock Monroe for Victory It took Coach Alexander's fast quint to upset the Monroe boys in a closely contested basketball game at Monroe Friday night, and in the final count the Bulldogs held the long end, the score being 30 to 27. Every one of the local players showed superior work, and while a "threat" was in sight, the Monroe boys doing some clever work, the opposition was unable un-able to best the Bulldogs, and they wound up with a fine victory. Beck, right forward, and Morten-sen, Morten-sen, guard, for the Bulldogs, were "shining lights" for the locals. Hansen, Han-sen, playing center for Monroe, was he opposition's crack worker.
