Show Rigors of Winter Sweep Over Valley Creeping down silently, but surely, Old Man Zero Weather had his say with a vicious attack on the populace : Monday morning, and did the usual damage characteristic to his frequent ' visits. Naturally, the auto man, the ! plumber, and the coal man had a ! rush for several hours and each gave a demonstration that there was no depression, unless it was in the minds of the unfortunate. The auto man was a real busy agent caring for the frozen froz-en cars, while the plumber was kept on the chase all day repairing broken brok-en pipes. As usual, on such an event, the coal man was answering hundreds of calls from those whose fuel was short The entire valley was thrown into a "chill" that was penetrating cold, and humanity suffered from the stinging bites of the cold and frost.
