Show Pay Tribute To former Resident Impressive funeral services were conducted in the Centerfold ward chapel Thursday of last week at noon for Mrs. Thoebie Garrick Carr, a native na-tive of Gunm'son valley. The body was brought from Baxter Spring:,, Kans., where Mrs. Carr died Sunday, Octo!er 0, as a result of complications complica-tions incident to age. The body was i held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Fjeldsted until funeral and j burial services. Mrs. Carr was born in Gunnison, February 14, 18C2, the daughter of Hamilton M. and Elizabeth T. Gar-r'ek. Gar-r'ek. She spent her early days hero and attended the local schools. Twen- jty-five years ago (she was married at jthe Manti temple to Walter Carr of Baxter Springs, Kan. After residing I at Centerfield for a period of thriv years, they went to Kansas. .Some, ten years ago Mr. Baxter passed away, and the wife remained thero ! until her death. I Mrs. Carr was a sister to Mrrc. j Harry Roylance, who died several years ago. The living survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Wm. G. Barton, Ephraim; Mrs. Edward Fillmore, Rij.'by, Ida. arid Mrs. Ella Kcarns, Reno, New, and one brother, John Garrick, of Provo. Bishop C. A. Peterson of the Centerfield Cen-terfield ward was in charge of the ; services held for Mrs. Carr. An appropriate ap-propriate musical program was given giv-en and speakers were Sorrn Andersen Ander-sen and .Sidney Fjeldsted. Interment was at the Gunnisos City cemetery, .under the direction of the Peterson I mortuary. . , |
