Plans for the dance are now under un-der way and a committee, comprising ward officers and others, is arranging arrang-ing for a real treat for the occasion. Among the committeemen selected thus far are Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Borg, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gledhill, Mrs. Leslie Les-lie Kidman, Mrs. C. M. Edwards, Hy-rum Hy-rum Christiansen, I. L. Henrie, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Roberts, Mrs. C. E. Andersen, Geo. S. Francis and Elmer Mielson. Other members will be added to the list already selected. The purpose of the dancing party is to raise funds to liquidate a small indebtedness on the new chapel which is now due. The. chapel, as is well known, was started when the financial finan-cial situation was at a low ebb, but the building committee kept the work going, hoping to complete the structure struc-ture last fall. In doing this, an indebtedness in-debtedness was incurred and with the Hopes of securing funds to help, or entirely wipe out the debt, the dance is to be given. Announcement has been made that the dance will be a real affair, and the prices will be wdthin the reach of all. Splendid music will be on hand and likely, to accomodate the older folks attending, "old-time" music will be furnished. Modern pieces will be supplied for the younger generation. A fast basketball game is scheduled schedul-ed for the same evening, at which time Gunnison will do battle with the Monroe quint. However, the game will be started early, and the dance will start promptly at eight forty-five. forty-five. The program offered is inviting, and the worthy cause for which the dance is being given should draw a crowd that will fill the large auditorium. |
