"When we call our annual play a 'mystery' play, wc are not kidding," said a publicity agent yeste' 1 iy. There arc three acts and from crio raising of the curtain until the end of the performance everyone will b mystified mys-tified and eager to learn the "murderer" "murder-er" of Jake Monroe. The "slayer" will be betrayed just before the finnl curtain and the scene will be thrilling thrill-ing and dramatic. The scene is set in a New England village, and the characters arc the average people residing there, yet the plot moves with the swiftness and "bang" of a cannon ball. Real acton starts in the raising of the curtain and there is no let-up until the play is finished. Each character is of a distance type, but two outstanding players will be found in Lloyd Olscn depicting a comedy "constable", trying try-ing to clear up the murder mystery, and Hazel Jensen, - a snappy 'old maid" who eventually ' does clear it up. Comedy performance in these two actors will furnish "whoopee" for the patrons. |
