Last Saturday night three "kids" were put oft the north bound passenger pas-senger train at the Brigham station. sta-tion. The trio was composed of one little boy, a little girl, age 15, and an older boy. When Marshal Rees chucked the youths in the calaboose, be shook his fist in the lace of the elder, charging hira with leading away the youngsters. This leader of the trio afterwards turned out to be a girl, age 25. dressed out as a boy. She said they were from Salt Lake City, on their way to a sick mother in Montana, showing letters, let-ters, and she had disguised herself in order to facilitate her passage along the tough and rocky railroad. The "three kids" were next day put on the train and their fare paid as far north as the Idaho line. They have a long, rough road of toil and temptations before them. |
