Show ALL IN READINESS FOR BIG PEACH DAY Friday and Saturday, September 14th and 15th, have proved to be just right for the twenty-fourth annual Peach Celebration at Brig-ham Brig-ham City, as the peach harvest of ' firmer peaches for the eastern mar-; mar-; ket will be just about over and the fruit will be just right for visitors to I ect and take home a few for canning and home use. ! This year's entertainment program pro-gram will be different and unique in that one of the outstanding features will be the colorful fireworks spec-i spec-i tacle called '"Arabian Nights" which will be produced by the Intermoun-j Intermoun-j tain Fireworks company which presented pre-sented the Spirit of No Man's Land at Provo, Utah, on July 4th; the Winning of the West at Logan, I (Continued on last page) ALL IN READINESS j FOR BIG PEACH DAY, (Continued from page 1) Utah, on July 24th, and numerous other spectacles throughout the in-termountain in-termountain west. Set pieces of local interest and tank attack under fire promise to make it the most elaborate program ever presented in this vicinity. Another departure will be the use of bucking horses and steers and fancy riding between the running horse races, and at the conclusion of the program a beautiful six-cylinder Nash Sedan will be given away. The program will be announced as it orogresses through huge amplifiers J installed and operated by the K. S. L. Broadcasting station of Salt Lake City. The Peach Parades, which will occur oc-cur each morning at eleven o'clock, promise to be unusually artistic and pleasing and will likely surpass all past pageants for numbers of floats and entries. Peaches and watermelons watermel-ons will be provided for the guests as long as they will eat and there will be carnival attractions, merry-go-round, merry-mix-up, dancing, movies in abundance. Outstanding will be the dedication of the largest community street sign in the intermountain west. This will be a mammoth arch spanning Main Street, supported at each end by huge steel framework pillars anchored in the curb. The sign bids all visitors welcome to Brigham, gateway to the world's greatest bird ground. It will be illuminated by thousands of electric lights. |
