Show TRAINING COURSES ARE OFFERED SCOUT OFFICERS i An intensive training course for Scout workers has been prepared for the Eighth Annual Leadership week which will be held at Brigham Young university, Provo, Utah, January 21 to 25 inclusive, according to Dr. Carl F. Eyring and Executive A. A. Anderson, An-derson, who have the work in charge. This will be a part of a five year progressive training course, the graduates grad-uates from which will be given the privilege of wearing the Scoutmaster's Scoutmas-ter's key. The institution will then follow the work up each year until the Scout workers may complete the course. This year those in charge plan to give Elements of Scoutmastership, a specialization course, and the princi-j princi-j pies of First Aid. Next year the committee will follow up with other required courses. The scout program for this year is is a full one and as iti outlines work for each hour of the day, beginning at 8:30 Monday morning and continuing morning, afternoon and evening, throughout the week. Brigham Young university, according accord-ing to Dr. Eyring's announcement, will furnish cots for those who wish to bring their bedding and camp at: the school. Scoutmasters and assistant assist-ant scoutmasters are especially urged to take advantage of this training course. |
