Show News Reaches Its Thirtieth MHestonej With this issue of the Gunnison Valley. News, the publication enters on it9 thirtieth year, and while the paper is advancing in years it is not weakening under its policy of bettering bet-tering the conditions, through the wide publicity, the merits of the territory ter-ritory it represents. It is true a country newspaper, in the community which it is located, meets adversities adversi-ties as well as the merchant, farmer and business man, but unfaltering it goes ahead and exploits the possibilities possibil-ities and industries that would make a. bigger and better community. ' During our association with the paper in the past ten years, it has been our aim to give the customers the very best. This opportunity frequently fre-quently comes and we have made the best of it. There are times, however, how-ever, when "there is nothing doing," and. graciously the readers bear with us. Sussess for a newspaper lies in the support it is given. Advertising job work are essential parts in making mak-ing a paper a success. Subscriptions, even if paid, only help slightly towards to-wards covering smaller burdens involved in-volved in publishing a paper. If all job work and printing are kept at home and if merchants who benefit by the exploiting of the merits of the town, fail to give a mite of support sup-port to his home-town paper he cannot can-not be classed as a loyal supporter for neither the paper nor his town. We are here to give the readers the very best and we will continue to do so. The newspaper boosts, but to do the boosting it must be supported. |
