Show THE COUNTY SOLONS. Full Board Present Road Matters-Claims Matters-Claims Poor Farm. The County Court met May 2nd. Present. Judge Kirk, Selectmen Baty, Blackburn and Wilcox and Clerk Peters. Mr. Anderson, road supervisor of Mantua district, reported that a part of the bridge across the main creek in town was sinking and asked for appropriation. Committee Commit-tee appointed to investigate the bridge and also to see into the proposed pro-posed change in the Cache Valley road. R. Maxwell appeared and asked for .relief for Mr. Williams, -recently injured. Judge Kirk and Selectman Select-man Blackburn appointed as committee com-mittee to act in this and all future similar cases which might occur. A communication of Mr. Anderson Ander-son relative to county purchasing a new surveying instrument, filed and deferred. claims allowed: E. 0. Wilcox, services $43.60 R. II. Bnty, services 63.40 J. C. Anderson, surveying 13.15 Bill of Peter Johnson for removing remov-ing dead animals from road, referred re-ferred to Attorney. T. F. Olsen was engaged to care for Court House grounds for five months at $18 a month. Report of Poor Farm Committee read and adopted. They had purchased pur-chased S25 fruit trees of different varieties and had had them planted. Mr. Co nicy asked assistance for Mr. West, an aged gentleman. Matter referred to committee. R. Clawson applied for license to conduct abstracting business. Application Ap-plication grunted upon his filing required bond. S. A. Ilunsaker presented a claim of $280 for four acres of land used by county road near Collinston. Matter was presented to County Attorney Jenson, who was of the opinion that Court was not justified justi-fied in allowing the claim. The Judge and Clerk were op-pointed op-pointed a committee to report rules for the government of the County Court business in all future sittings. |
