I Phil Nielson, the musician, spent the early days of the week at Provo where he had been looking after business matters. Mrs. Franklin 0. Bullock of Sa-lina Sa-lina was the house guest of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Marius Jensen, Tuesday. Gunnar Rasmuson, editor and manager man-ager of the Provo Herald, Provo, and W. M. Wilson, with the National Portland Cement association, with headquarters at Salt Lake, were Gunnison Gun-nison visitors yesterday. While in the city they paid the News office a brief visit. LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Max Edwards, breeder of high grade rabbits, spent Tuesday at Ne-phi. Ne-phi. Max was conferring with rabbit rab-bit breeders at the Juab county seat. - Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jolley were among those from Gunnison attending attend-ing the Mormon conference held at Salt Lake. Miss LuDeen Christensen, who has been absent from. Gunnison for the past several months, returned to her home . Sunday afternoon. Miss Christensen. Chris-tensen. has been teaching art in the schools at Salt Lake, but has given up her work this winter to be with her mother, Mrs. Annie Christensen. j i Nephi Gledhill returned Tuesday j after spending several days at Salt j Lake City. While away he visited I with Mrs. Gledhill and Miss Alice Gledhill and attended several confer- j ence sessions-. Mr., and Mrs. Fletcher Peterson motored to Salina Sunday and visited visit-ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Andrews. LeRoy Whitehead, principal at the Gunnison seminary, motored to Pro--,yo Saturday and Sunday, accompanied accompa-nied by Mrs. Whitehead and LeRoy Whitehead II, came to Gunnison. Nyle G. Matthews, who spent ten days at the Ole Larson home in this city, has returned to his home at Oakley, Idaho. Advices from Mrs. Y. C. Sorenson, who left here last July, are to the effect that she is enjoying her trip immensely. In her travels she visited vis-ited New York, Washington and Chicago, Chi-cago, and is now visiting at Iowa City, Iowa, for a short time before returning to her home in Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. A. II. Keams, Mrs. C. E. Embley, Mrs. June Mtcalf and Mrs. Leonard Jepson returned home Monday evening after several days absence at Salt Lake. The party motored mo-tored north Friday ami while at the metropolis attended the Utah state fair and the semi-annual conference of the Mormon ch-arch. |
