Show Misses Julia and Helen Hagan, Lois and Helen Overfelt and Betty Villard, students at the Wasatch academy during the past school term, have returned to their respective homes in Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. William Metcalf and June Metcalf visited in Salina and Richfield Tuesday. Elmer Madsen, representing the Baldwin Piano company, with headquarters head-quarters at Manti, was a Gunnison visitor Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Mad-sen Mad-sen wras just returning from Garfield Gar-field county, where he was representing represent-ing his company. Austin Larsen left last week for Salt Lake. Austin will be located at Lagoon, where he has secured employment em-ployment during the summer season. Clarence Madsen and daughters motored mo-tored to Salt Lake last ' Friday, returning re-turning Sunday evening, i LOCAL ITEMS : OF INTEREST j Claud Jeppson, who has been stationed sta-tioned at Ely, Nevada, for the past several years, spent several days here visiting with his mother, Mrs. Hannah Jeppson. Claud has gone to Salt Lake where he will spend some time and he may decide to locate there permanently . Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Peterson motored to Marysvale Sunday, and were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred N. Swalberg. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Larsen and Dwain Larsen motored to Salina on Tuesday and spent the afternoon looking after business matters and visiting with friends. Members of the O. N. O. club spent Thursday afternoon of last week at the home of Mrs. Bert Madsen. Needlecraft proved the usual enjoyable enjoy-able diversion and at five o'clock dainty refreshments were served to twelve guests. Mrs. J. S. Bastian, who has been here for the past two weeks or more looking after her property interests and visiting with relatives, expects to leave for Salt Lake the latter part of this week. Mrs. Howard Roberts delightfully entertained a number of intimate friends at a birthday anniversary party Monday afternoon. During the afternoon a social time, interspersed with vocal and instrumental music, were the enjoyable features and at five a delicious hot supper was served, serv-ed, 'covers being laid for sixteen. E. C. Willardson and the Misses Christene and Marie Willardson of Ephraim, were the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Beauregard Beaure-gard Tuesday afternoon. |
