McMillan, manager for the Western Casualty company, Salt Lake, and his son, Wallcn, stenographer, steno-grapher, were in the city Sunday to spend Easter with Mrs. McMillan and family. J Mrs. Hart Sanders delightfully en-i en-i tertaincd the members of the O. N. 0. club at her home in Centerfield last evening. Dainty refreshments and a social time at needlecraft were the evening's enjoyments. Fred Fjeldsted of Tooele, spent Saturday and Sunday visiting with relatives here. Mr. Fjeldsted left for Ephraim Monday where he will com-' com-' plete instructions in the music de- partment at the Snow Normal Col-' Col-' lege for the present season. Miss J. J. Thorpe, who spent a . month visiting at coast points, re-; re-; turned home last Friday. While away Miss Thorpe visited in Los Angeles, ' all the beach resorts, Catalina Is- lands and returning made the ocean ' trip from Los Angeles to San Fran- cisco. '. J. W. Humphrey, supervisor for the Manti National Forest,- was in Gunnison for a brief visit Tuesday ' afternoon. Supervisor Humphrey is 1 doing much publicity for the observ- ance of "Forest Protection Week," ' which has been declared by President '.. Coolidge. - LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST. Mrs. John Wasden of Salt Lake, is the house guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Erick Erickson this week. Mrs. Wasden was accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ghering from the capitol city. The latter returned north Monday after spending Saturday Satur-day and Sunday with Mrs. Erickson. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Peterson, Misses Miss-es Ada and Imelda and Byron Peterson Peter-son motored to Goshen last Saturday. They spent Easter Sunday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Bartholomew i |
