Show Grim Reaper Claims Five -Year-Old Baby The death of Hilma Sophia Erick-son, Erick-son, the 5-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Erickson, saddened the home and cast a gloom of sorrow over the community last Sunday evening. ev-ening. Hilma was first stricken with j influenza in a light form and when j recovering she suffered an attack of German measles. Her condition was not regarded as serious until Saturday Satur-day evening when double pneumonia i developed. The little girl suffered I Saturday evening and Sunday morn-1 ing and her condition became alarm-1 ing.a Every effort to save her life I was made, but medical skill and lov-1 ing and tender hands failed and the ' little girl passed peacefully to the ; great unknown. 'Her death occurred ' just four months to the day follow- j ing that of her grandfather, C. E. Erickson. j Hilma was born in Gunnison on March 13, 1922, and during her short! life she was a happy, robust and cheerful child. Surviving are the ' grief stricken parents, Mr. and Mrs. j j Fred Erickson, two sisters, Emeral ' and Lavona, and one bother, Fred. Impressive funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Relief Re-lief society hall, Eishop II. C. Olsen officiating. Appropriate talks were given by Chas. E. Embley and .Jos. ; A. Larson, and a selected choir gave ! ! several selections. A profusion of j ! beautiful flowers banked the tiny casket as it lay before the altar.
