Show :, j- i I HIGH SCHOOL NOTES j -! I- i (By Reporter) ! I School has started again and is 1 going strong. Every student is full 'of eneigy and a desire to learn more j in order to accomplish their goal in life. Not only that, but we're all full t of pep and vigor, and ready for the j g-ood times that school always bring, i Although practically all of the ' first week was spent in registering students and getting things arranged, arrang-ed, say nothing of showing the "Frosh" whore they belonged, the beginning of the second week f iiuis class work going strong. The enrollment of students this year is much greater than that of I previous years. This is due, mostly, to the large class of fieshmen whose 1 members total 72. The sophomore class made a showing of 33 mem-1 ' bers, the juniors coming close with 32, and the senior class with an entailment en-tailment of 26 students, maki:;g a total of 1G3 students enrolled in the high school this year. Classes have not yet been organized, organiz-ed, but this is to be done within a I j very short time. However, student- I body officers, who were chosen at the close of school la-st spring, are already active and plans are being mr -'i for a "get acquainted' arty in the near future, so that the students may know each other as well as the j faculty members. ; We, as students of the Gunnison 1 Valley high school, are g nag to try j to make this a banner year, and we j hope we have the support and goo! wishes of every citizen, j This morning at 11:1.1 a s peri a! j assembly will be held at which the i faculty and stud"nt-body officers i will put on a mixed program. During , the cho:)l term each week will see a 'program stage! by the va: inus classes of the school. The public will be welcome to these meeting. |
